Matthew recently appeared on Cricket AM to discuss the modern game of cricket. Discussing the changes to the game, as well as his opinions on swing bowling, Matthew took into consideration the wide range of cricket equipment available to play with.

Applying his knowledge of the sport to the game, Matthew gave cricket fans much to think about regarding the way cricket is played.

Matthew attended an Evening with Sir Ian Botham OBE on 6 June. Hosted at the King Power Stadium in Leicester, the evening was host to a wonderful event.

Celebrating and honouring the spectacular achievements of his friend 'Beefy', Matthew thoroughly enjoyed the evening and was delighted to see such a wonderful event taking place to honour the cricketer.

Matthew has high hopes for the Leicestershire County Cricket Clubs chances of winning their next Yorkshire Bank 40-over League game.

Being played this Sunday (2 June) at Grace Road, the team will be taking on the Middlesex Panthers at 1.45pm.

Matthew is captain of the Leicestershire team and is confident the team will be victorious. The game commences at 1.45 at Grace Road against Somerset and is part of the Yorkshire Bank 40-over League; Matthew has every faith in his team.

Coming back strong after his injury, Matthew is pleased with the way he played in the Second XI Trophy, Glamorgan v Leicestershire game. Matthew took 1-26 on his return, but victory was prevented for the Leicestershire Cricket Club due to the match being rained off just after 16.30. This resulted in both teams taking one point each for the match.
