Hoggy Masters The Great East Swim for Cricket Without Boundaries – 2 Down, 2 To Go!

As many of you will be aware, Hoggy is right behind Cricket Without Boundaries (CWB), a wonderful cricket development and HIV/AIDS charity which has delivered more than 50 projects in nine countries, coached over 130,000 children and trained over 3,000 cricket coaches. And this summer he’s taking on four open water swims to raise vital funds for the organisation.

Saturday 20th June saw him take the plunge for the second time in under a week to complete The Great East Swim in the picturesque Alton Water reservoir outside Ipswich in Suffolk.

Congratulations, Hoggy!

Climbing out of the water he told us, “I am delighted to have completed 2 of the 4 swims now! The atmosphere has been great at both swims we have taken part in and everyone has been really encouraging and supportive. The second swim was particularly tough as I was suffering slightly with the lurgy, which made breathing in the water very tough! Onto the next two now, I really hope anyone who is following our progress can pledge as little or as much as possible to the great cause which is Cricket Without Boundaries!”

It is so important that CWB get the funding they need to keep up their great work in Africa. To show your support please visit www.virginmoneygiving.com/MatthewHoggard.
